How to give a scientific talk

Please follow this checklist in preparing to give your scientific talk.

TODO List

1. Determine the talk guidelines (how long should the talk be, who is the audience).

2. Schedule a meeting to discuss with Prof. Fan what can be included in your talk.

3. Create PowerPoint slides for your talk.

4. Schedule a practice presentation with the lab to practice and get feedback.

5. Revise your talk and reschedule additional practice presentations as needed.

6. Present your talk at the conference! Don’t forget to take a picture :)
